||विष्णु सहस्त्रनाम||

क्या है विष्णु सहस्त्र नाम|

"विष्णु सहस्त्र नाम" अर्थात हरी के हज़ार नाम| विष्णु सहस्त्र नाम में विष्णु जी के हज़ार नामो की व्याख्या है|भगवान् विष्णु जिन्होंने पूरे ब्रह्माण की उत्पत्ति की, पूरे संसार को बनाया और संसार में जीवन दिया| श्री हरी ने ही अपनी शक्ति ऊर्जा व् अपने अंशो से ही जगत को जीवन दिया| जिसमें पूरा संसार समाया हो उसके लिए तो हज़ार नाम भी कम हैं| विष्णु सहस्त्रनाम में भगवान् के हज़ार नमो के माध्यम से उनके परम परमात्मा परमेश्वर होने का व्याख्यान किया गया है|

मान्यता|

महाकाव्य महाभारत के ‘अनुशासन पर्व’ नामक अध्याय में भगवान विष्णु के एक हजार नामों का उल्लेख है। जब भीष्म पितामह बाणो की शय्या पर लेटे हुए अपनी इच्छा मृत्यु के इंतज़ार में थे, जयेष्ठ पाण्डु पुत्र युधिष्ठिर ने पितामह से यह पुछा की संसार के करता धर्ता सर्व शक्तिमान परमेश्वर कौन हैं? तब पितामह ने उन्हें विष्णु सहस्त्र नाम का ज्ञान दिया और साथ ही यह भी समझाया की हर युग में इसके जाप से मनुष्य को मुक्ति मोक्ष और सुख की प्राप्ति होगी|

विष्णु सहस्त्र नाम पाठ के लाभ|

सभी बाधाओं को दूर कर मनुष्य के सम्पूर्ण काम पूर्ण करता है|
मनुष्य के जीवन में सकारात्मक ऊर्जा का संचार करता है और आत्मविश्वास जगाता है|
ये मनुष्य की रक्षा कवच के रूप में भी सहायता करता है|
पापो का शमन कर पाठ करने वाले को सदमार्ग पर चलने की प्रेरणा देता है|
विष्णु के हजारों नामों का जप करने से परिवार में सुख शान्ति बनाये रखता है|

विष्णु सहस्त्र नाम पाठ विधि|

यह पाठ आप एकादशी, पूर्णिमा या शुक्ल पक्ष के बृहस्पतिवार से शुरू कर सकते है|
यदि पाठ करने का एक ही समय रखें तो उत्तम होगा अन्यथा प्रतिदिन सुबह स्नान आदि से शुद्ध हो इसका पाठ करें|
प्रति दिन इसका पाठ करने से जीवन के सभी कष्टों से मुक्ति मिलती है|
यदि आप प्रतिदिन इसका पाठ ना कर पाएं तो प्रत्येक बृहस्पतिवार या प्रत्येक एकादशी या हर पूर्णिमा पर इसका पाठ करने का नियम बनाएं|
सर्व प्रथम हाथ जोड़ गणेश जी को याद करें इसके उपरान्त भगवान् विष्णु को याद करें और उनसे अपनी पूजा को स्वीकार करने की प्रार्थना करें|
भगवान् विष्णु के समक्ष घी का दीपक लगाएं, धुप लगाएं, उन्हें पीले फूल अर्पित करें|
अब ध्यान पूर्वक विष्णु सहस्त्र नाम का पाठ करें यदि आप संस्कृत में मंत्र के माध्यम से कर पाएं तो वह करें अन्यथा आप हिंदी में दिए गए नाम को ध्यान पूर्व जपें|
पाठ के उपरान्त, भगवान् विष्णु की आरती करें उन्हें फल व् मिष्ठान का भोग लगाएं|
और पूजा हुई भूल की क्षमा याचना करें|

रविर्विरोचनःसूर्यः सविता रविलोचनः।। 94 ।।

विहायसगतिः	vihaayasa-gatih	One who travels in space
ज्योतिः	jyotih	Self-effulgent
सुरुचिः	suruchih	Whose desire manifests as the universe
हुतभुक्	hutabhuk	One who enjoys all that is offered in yajna
विभुः	vibhuh	All-pervading
रविः	ravi	One who dries up everything
विरोचनः	virochanah	One who shines in different forms
सूर्यः	sooryah	The one source from where everything is born
सविता	savitaa	The one who brings forth the Universe from Himself
रविलोचनः	ravilochanah	One whose eye is the sun

अनंतो हुतभुग्भोक्ता सुखदो नैकजोऽग्रजः।

अनिर्विण्णः सदामर्षी लोकधिष्ठानमद्भुतः ।।95।।

अनन्तः	anantah	Endless
हुतभुक्	hutabhuk	One who accepts oblations
भोक्ता	bhoktaaA	One who enjoys
सुखदः	sukhadah	Giver of bliss to those who are liberated
नैकजः	naikajah	One who is born many times
अग्रजः	agrajah	The first amongst eternal [ Pradhana Purusha ]. Agra means first and ajah means never born. Both individual souls and Vishnu are eternal but Ishvara is Pradhana Taatva.Hence the word agra.
अनिर्विण्णः	anirvinnah	One who feels no disappointment
सदामर्षी	sadaamarshee	One who forgives the trespasses of His devotees
लोकाधिष्ठानम्	lokaadhishthaanam	The substratum of the universe
अद्भुतः	adbhutah	Wonderful

सनात्-सनातनतमः कपिलः कपिरव्ययः।

स्वस्तिदः स्वस्तिकृत स्वस्ति स्वस्तिभुकस्वस्तिदक्षिणः ।। 96 ।।

अरौद्रः कुंडली चक्रीविक्रम्यूर्जितशासनः ।

शब्दातिगः शब्दसहः शिशिरः शर्वरीकरः।। 97 ।।

अरौद्रः	araudrah	One who has no negative emotions or urges
कुण्डली	kundalee	One who wears shark earrings
चक्री	chakree	Holder of the chakra
विक्रमी	vikramee	The most daring
ऊर्जितशासनः	oorjita-shaasanah	One who commands with His hand
शब्दातिगः	shabdaatigah	One who transcends all words
शब्दसहः	shabdasahah	One who allows Himself to be invoked by Vedic declarations
शिशिरः	shishirah	The cold season, winter
शर्वरीकरः	sharvaree-karah	Creator of darkness

अक्रूरः पेशलो दक्षोदक्षिणः क्षमिणां वरः।

विद्वत्तमो वीतभयः पुण्यश्रवणकीर्तनः।। 98 ।।

अक्रूरः	akroorah	Never cruel
पेशलः	peshalah	One who is supremely soft
दक्षः	dakshah	Prompt
दक्षिणः	dakshinah	The most liberal
क्षमिणांवरः	kshaminaam-varah	One who has the greatest amount of patience with sinners
विद्वत्तमः	vidvattamah	One who has the greatest wisdom
वीतभयः	veetabhayah	One with no fear
पुण्यश्रवणकीर्तनः	punya-shravana-keertanah	The hearing of whose glory causes holiness to grow

उत्तारणो दुष्कृतिहा पुण्यो दुःस्वप्ननाशनः।

वीरहा रक्षणः संतोजीवनः पर्यवस्थितः ।।99 ।।

उत्तारणः	uttaaranah	One who lifts us out of the ocean of change
दुष्कृतिहा	dushkritihaa	Destroyer of bad actions
पुण्यः	punyah	Supremely pure
दुःस्वप्ननाशनः	duh-svapna-naashanah	One who destroys all bad dreams

अनंतरूपो-अनंतश्री: जितमन्यु: भयापहः।

चतुरश्रो गंभीरात्मा विदिशो व्यादिशोदिशः ।। 100 ।।

अनन्तरूपः	anantaroopah	One of infinite forms
अनन्तश्रीः	anantashreeh	Full of infinite glories
जितमन्युः	jitamanyuh	One who has no anger
भयापहः	bhayapahah	One who destroys all fears
चतुरश्रः	chaturashrah	One who deals squarely
गभीरात्मा	gabheeraatmaa	Too deep to be fathomed
विदिशः	vidishah	One who is unique in His giving
व्यादिशः	vyaadishah	One who is unique in His commanding power
दिशः	dishah	One who advises and gives knowledge

अनादिर्भूर्भुवोलक्ष्मी: सुवीरो रुचिरांगदः।

जननो जनजन्मादि: भीमो भीमपराक्रमः।। 101 ।।

भूर्भूवः	bhoor-bhuvo	The substratum of the earth
लक्ष्मीः	lakshmeeh	The glory of the universe
सुवीरः	suveerah	One who moves through various ways

भीमपराक्रमः	bheema-paraakramah	One whose prowess is fearful to His enemies

आधारनिलयो-धाता पुष्पहासःप्रजागरः ।

ऊर्ध्वगः सत्पथाचारः प्राणदः प्रणवःपणः ।। 102 ।।

आधारनिलयः	aadhaaranilayah	The fundamental sustainer
अधाता	adhaataa	Above whom there is no other to command
पुष्पहासः	pushpahaasah	He who shines like an opening flower
प्रजागरः	prajaagarah	Ever-awakened
ऊर्ध्वगः	oordhvagah	One who is on top of everything
सत्पथाचारः	satpathaachaarah	One who walks the path of truth
प्राणदः	praanadah	Giver of life
प्रणवः	pranavah	Omkara
पणः	panah	The supreme universal manager

प्रमाणं प्राणनिलयः प्राणभृत प्राणजीवनः।

तत्त्वं तत्त्वविदेकात्मा जन्ममृत्यु जरातिगः ।।103 ।।

भूर्भवः स्वस्तरुस्तारः सविता प्रपितामहः।

यज्ञो यज्ञपतिर्यज्वा यज्ञांगो यज्ञवाहनः ।।104 ।।

भूर्भुवःस्वस्तरुः	bhoor-bhuvah svas-taruh	The tree of the three worlds (bhoo=terrestrial, svah=celestial and bhuvah=the world in between)
तारः	taarah	One who helps all to cross over
सविताः	savitaa	The father of all
प्रपितामहः	prapitaamahah	The father of the father of beings (Brahma)
यज्ञः	yajnah	One whose very nature is yajna
यज्ञपतिः	yajnapatih	The Lord of all yajnas

यज्ञान्तकृत-यज्ञगुह्यमन्नमन्नाद एव च।। 105 ।।

आत्मयोनिः स्वयंजातो वैखानः सामगायनः।

देवकीनंदनः स्रष्टा क्षितीशः पापनाशनः।। 106 ।।

वैखानः	vaikhaanah	The one who cut through the earth
सामगायनः	saamagaayanah	One who sings the sama songs; one who loves hearing saama chants;

शंखभृन्नंदकीचक्री शार्ङ्गधन्वा गदाधरः।

रथांगपाणिरक्षोभ्यःसर्वप्रहरणायुधः ।। 107 ।।

शंखभृत्	sankha-bhrit	One who has the divine Pancajanya
नन्दकी	nandakee	One who holds the Nandaka sword
चक्री	chakree	Carrier of Sudarsana
शार्ङ्गधन्वा	shaarnga-dhanvaa	One who aims His shaarnga bow
गदाधरः	gadaadharah	Carrier of Kaumodaki club
रथांगपाणिः	rathaanga-paanih	One who has the wheel of a chariot as His weapon; One with the strings of the chariot in his hands;
अक्षोभ्यः	akshobhyah	One who cannot be annoyed by anyone
सर्वप्रहरणायुधः	sarva-praharanaayudhah	He who has all implements for all kinds of assault and fight
